STAC Volunteer of the Year
Lorna Levac, P.Eng., PMP
Lorna Levac is recognized for her exceptional contributions to the Women of STAC Committee. A seasoned telecommunications professional with extensive experience in both wireless and wireline network deployment, Lorna is known for her collaborative approach, strong leadership, and commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaged STAC community. Her hands-on support of key initiatives and events has made a meaningful impact across the organization.

Safety Leadership Award
Cris Bursugiu
Cris Bursugiu is honoured for his longstanding commitment to advancing health and safety within the telecommunications sector. With more than 30 years of industry experience, he has served as the lead of the STAC Workplace Health and Safety Committee since 2020, helping guide critical safety discussions and initiatives. His practical insights, active participation, and dedication to protecting workers have made him a respected leader in the field.

Lifetime Achievement Award
Leo Helmer
Leo Helmer is recognized for an extraordinary career spanning nearly 40 years in Canada’s tower industry. A former Vice President of Operational Excellence at WesTower Communications, Leo played a pivotal role in advancing safety standards, including early efforts to develop specialized PPE for tower workers. A past STAC Co-Chair and widely admired industry leader, his legacy continues to shape the industry today.
