This notice is to alert STAC Members to a Government of Canada recall notice issued on September 15, 2022 that relates to a product some STAC Members may possess.
The recalled products include various Hilti DHS gas cut-off saws. Additional information about this recall is included below.

Product: Various Hilti DHS gas cut-off saws
Issue: Consumer products – Injury hazard
What to do: Immediately stop using the recalled Hiliti DHS gas cut-off saw and contact Hilti to obtain a replacement screw/washer set.
This recall involves 3 models of Hilti DHS gas cut-off saws. Affected products may be identified by the model and serial number located on the rating plate. The affected models and serial numbers include:
DSH-600-X | Serial #: 58120xxxx – 58202xxxx
DSH 700-X | Serial #: 77120xxxx – 77202xxxx
DSH 900-X 16” | 83120xxxx – 83202xxxx
Issue (detailed): The recalled product may cause an injury hazard. The washer on the screw that secures the blade does not meet company specifications as fragments of a broken washer may break away and fly off during operation. As of August 24th, 2022 the company has received no report of incidents or injuries in Canada.
What you should do: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Hilti DHS gas cut-off saw and contact Hilti to obtain a replacement screw/washer set.
