STAC has learned of a tower incident on December 11 that resulted in a significant injury to a tower climber in Selkirk, ON.
At this time, STAC can confirm that a tower incident occurred and that the worker was air-lifted to hospital as a result of significant, but non-life threatening, injuries. Sources have confirmed that the climber is expected to be released from hospital today.
STAC has been informed that provincial Ministry of Labour and federal ESDC investigations remain under way. STAC will share any additional information about this incident with members as details are verified.
