Rogers Communications Inc. outlined some of the locations of new cell towers which include upgrades to its mobile network capability in a series of press releases released Thursday morning.
Customers of the Toronto-based company, as well as its flanker brand Fido, in Brampton and Port Dover, Ontario, Regina’s Harbour Landing community in Sask., Qualicum Beach, B.C., and Medicine Hat, Alta., will benefit from the increased mobile network connection speeds immediately.
According to Rogers, the new speeds are enabled through the deployment of cell towers with new technologies like “the latest global 3GPP standards, including 4×4 MIMO, four-carrier aggregation and 256 QAM,” read the releases.
