As we mark Canada’s 150th “birthday” this weekend, Canadians across the country will celebrate not just our shared history and culture, but also the country we have built – and continue – to build together.
Undoubtedly, this is also a time to celebrate the important and oftentimes critical infrastructure that has allowed us to thrive as a country, and which allows Canadians to forge and support lasting connections with each other.
Over the past century and a half, tens of thousands of Canadians have contributed to our national communications infrastructure. They help to ensure that people across the country can watch Canada Day celebrations online or on TV. They help to ensure Canadians can call their family and friends to wish them a happy Canada 150.
The STAC Steering Committee and CWTA would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continuing contribution to a more well-connected Canada, and a better future for all Canadians.
We wish you all a safe and happy Canada Day this weekend!
